Another Doctor Appointment

Hello All, - This was suppose to be posted yesterday..... blogger wasn't working so here it is!.....
I had another doctor appointment today. I was set and ready to go for my 11:25 appointment when I got a phone call from the doctor's office saying "Dr. is sick do you want to reschedule for later on this week or would you like to see Dr. Mark?" I said well considering I have to pretty much take a full day off of work I better just go with another doctor. I was just a little concerned because it was a male and I don't USUALLY like going to a male doctor for girl stuff. Not a problem this time. THANK THE LORD! We chatted for awhile and he was amazed that I drive 2 hours to go to the doctor and he also knows someone from Heb. I had to explain the story to him why I drive 2 hours and he then could understand. I was impressed he knew where I lived! Usually when I tell people where I am from they have no clue where it is. Anyway, the appointment went well. I asked if the baby is still measuring fine and he said that you compare the number of weeks you are and you should be around plus or minus two ... that is normal. So, I was -2. I said uh... I am a little concerned about that. He said don't be worried because that is why we give or take 2 because it can flucuate on where I measure. He said not to worry. I guess the positive to that is I am not going to have a huge baby! Then I apologized because I haven't been feeling well (another sore throat). When I went in I was really cold then right before he came in I was sweating bullets. LITERALLY. It was rather embarressing. So, I said I haven't been feeling well and you can probably tell with how hot I am. He's like yeah I can tell you are running a fever let's check your throat out. So, he looked at my throat and noticed something a little different than just a sore throat... he was like well let's just take a Streap Test! NOT WHAT I WANTED AT ALL! However, if I did get that then I would actually be able to have an antibiotic. It came back negative but now need to get over what I have. It could turn into a sinus infection and it could be just a nasty cold. So, I talked with a nurse (after the fact) on what I can take... so hopefully I will get over this before it gets too much worse. It just wears me out! Okay, so then after the appointment I wanted to book my other appointments so I could make sure Jeremy got to go with me. (Yes, he tries to go to every appointment!... it's that awesome?!) So, away I scheduled the appointments and it came down to the last week appointment. Monday April 7th.... I said can we just do the same time? The lady at the desk said.... Andrea Dr. is not going to be in that day. I said okay what about the 8th. She said actually she is going to be gone that whole week. I looked at the lady with probably a horrible look on my face and said uh!.... she(the lady at the desk) said it will be just fine. If you don't go before she will just induce you before then. GREAT! Lucky me! BUT I do not want to go with a male doctor! So, I guess we can all plan to have Baby Richardson a few days early! Not sure what my feelings are on that just yet. I will just have to give my doctor a hard time but also see what the plans are. On my way home I had my first experience of pulling over and puking. YEAH this has NEVER happened before. But it was either pulling over and puking outside or puke in my car! I opted to pull over. After that I just felt really dizzy and just really consentrated on staying on the road and making it home. I did fine and I didn't have too much further to drive so I was fine. Just weird. Maybe it was Arby sandwich I had. At any rate, I probably won't be eating there anytime soon. Or maybe it is just heart ache from leaving Jeremy once again this morning! It will get better. I came home and rested and then now up and doing a few things here at home. Just taking it easy! Sorry Jenna for not making it to the game. I do feel horrible about not going!Hopefully you all are able to enjoy this wonderful weather we are having. Well yesterday and today it was in the 50's! Too bad there was snow still on the ground otherwise it would have been nice to go to the park or something. Have a great evening and rest of the week.
Love to all!

Making Pizza with Kenner

Tonight I wanted to make my parents dinner because I knew that my Mom had the two Generals (yes that is what we call my sister's two little boys) and with them there my Mom's life is a little hectic. They are boys of 1 and 2 years of age... what do you expect. Also, I knew Kenner loved baking so why not try making a pizza? So, we did! We got the dough made and that was about all he did before ........ Grandpa Pat, and Uncle Caleb came home. Playing with them was way more fun than making pizza. So, he went down and played while I finished the pizza. I never knew that it would take me two hours to make the pizza but it sure did. It was fun. I even made him wash his hands and face. It was kinda funny because then he would repeat EVERYTHING I said. We made it from the packet just because I thought it would be easier... and it was. So, by the time he emptied the box made sure there was none left and then added water he knew the steps. He did a wonderful job and here is a picture to show it! But silly me.... no picture of the end product!

Sorry not real sure how to rotate the picture... here he is in full action. Then the neat thing tonight was that Kenner got Bubble Gum. I do have to say he is doing a much better job of chewing it instead of swallowing it. Anyway, below is him playing with it... just what we told him NOT TO DO! First, him showing me his bubble gum then him playing with it.

Have a great rest of the week. Tay, not a real great picture of me prego but it is something. You can see my belly at least!... and my chubby cheeks!

Oh one other funny happenings today was I waited in the car while my Mom had to do somethings. I TRIED to keep Mr. Kenner entertained so we played various games. All he could think about was getting out of the stupid car and go to 'Grandma's house' to play. So, what we had to do was 1. Get Caleb Medicine 2. Take it to Caleb at School 3. Drop Annie back at work 4. Go to Grandma's house and play. So, we repeated that oh probably 25 times and he knew exactly what we were doing and when. So, when #3. was to drop me off at work he said Annie work... with Grandpa Pat?! I know it isn't really that funny on here buy oh my land.... it was hilarious! He knew Grandpa Pat was at work and the same working place Annie was. Anyway, hopefully it brought a smile to your face as well. It's the little things that I am so excited to be a parent!.... although this kicking that is going on while I am trying to take a nap is not appreciated! :) Yes, you are right my life is about to change drastically! :)

Registered

Hello All,
We have registered!!! We went to Babies R Us and also Target. Let me just say that the Target we went to was doing a little revamping because there was NOTHING there. I was a little dissappointed but... such is life. We did register and I may go to a different Target or do some stuff online. Plus, with Babies R Us what else do you need? I'm kidding. So, we are registered and let me know if you have any questions! I about forgot... but how could I? We also were able to pick out our baby furniture. WE LOVE IT! We are going with black furniture and will be getting a crib and changing table/dresser. We love it and hope you can come and see it sometime in our house. :)... with a baby!
Have a great week!

Pictures

I am still working on getting a picture of us posted... that is a little more recent. Maybe one to show my nice big belly and one of Jeremy to show how fit he is. (Yeah I am a little jealous of that) NEVER in the world would I have ever thought I would be saying that I miss working out. It's probably because I know I can't do everything I used to do before being prego but... that just means Boot Camp 101 will really be in order when the baby comes. :) Lucky me!
I am still working on pictures. Sorry Tay!

Doctor Visit

It's been yet another busy week for me/us. Sunday night we had our Bank Christmas Party. On Monday morning I had my doctor visit so we were going to head up on Sunday night but it just didn't happen. It was my decision on weather we should go or not. I was thinking that it was 9 already and by the time we got our car packed and ready to go we wouldn't have gotten any sleep. So, because sleep is VERY important to me I voted to go in the morning. Which would mean Andrea would need to get up at 5:30 to make it to my 9:20 appointment. So, we did. Jeremy drove and I didn't even sleep on the way up.
My doctor appointment went well. I drank my lovely orange stuff (it really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be... just hard to drink in 5 minutes) with the help of Jeremy reminding me to drink it. I got in right on time or even a little before my appointment. While in the appointment I was sorta freaking out... but trying to stay calm. I told Jeremy that I kinda freak out when they have to take my blood. So, just thought I would warn him in advance. While looking away it was an easy process and the only thing I did was look over at Jeremy one time and he was totally look at the needle and the filling of the tube. YUCK! So, I just kept to myself and looked away. Totally didn't want to pass out! I didn't and I was pretty good meaning I didn't freak out as much as I normally do. Maybe Jeremy just needs to be with me ALL THE TIME!
We talked to my doctor a bit just about how things are progressing and what the plan of action for the next few months would be. **I had so many more questions....but I now go back every two weeks so I can ask them at my next appointment. Everyone that I had talked with doesn't go back for the two week appointment until the last month. I was a little worried but talked with my sister in laws sister whom also doctors with my doctor and she just said that that is how our doctor likes to do it. So, every two weeks I will be headed up to Omaha. AUH, how it would be so much nicer if I was already moved there! SUCH IS LIFE! So, other than being a little bummed about going every two weeks the appointment went well. The baby is measuring normal and things seem to be going well. I totally love my doctor. She's very personable and I feel like I can ask all the questions I need. Although some of them are pretty stupid but we all get a laugh. What the heck at least I am making everyone smile. :)
Then after the appointment we went to Babies R Us looked at a few things went back to unpack Jeremy, to lunch, then headed back to Hebron to unload some stuff from the car then packed my bag for a trip to Holdrege for my Great Aunt's Funeral. AUH, too much driving in the car for my back in one day... but I wouldn't have missed it for anything. For those of you that don't know she just celebrated her 80th Birthday and then passed away last .... Thursday I believe. I could be wrong about that. So anyway, please keep my Grandpa and his family in your prayers. She was 80 and lived a VERY successful and happy life so you can't be upset about that. It's just hard to imagine life without her. The sad but great thing about funeral's is you get to see people that we don't get to see much. My Dad's cousin from North Carolina and London came back for the funeral so it was great to get to know them more. Plus, my aunt and uncle from Utah and Phoenix also came back. It's great seeing everyone just stinks for sad occasions. :)
Well before this gets much longer I better end it. It now is snowing and blowing and it would be great to get work called off (you know kinda like when they call off school) I am afraid that will never happen. I can keep dreaming though. :) Stay warm!
Love to all!

Congrats (Great) Aunt Kendra

We all want to Congratulate Aunt Kendra and the future Uncle Trevor with their announcement of their engagement. We are so excited for you both! All of us are so excited for you.... even Olive(r). We were up from 3-5AM jumping and giving great pain to her/his mother. Yes, that is me! It was fun! Besides the baby jumping, kicking, throwing a tantrom maybe I had a great amount of pain in my stomach/chest area. After it is all over with I think it is just a bad case of heartburn.... because today I have had some little attacks per say.

Olive(r) was kicking and jumping with excitement with your news!

Congrats!

Love,
The JAR's.... plus Olive(r)

Feeling Better

After being sick with the stomach flu on Thursday, I am feeling much better. I was sick on Thursday and then went home Friday afternoon. I went to work on Friday thinking by the end of the day I will be feeling better... just needed to get up and move around. I took my temp and I was fine... so I thought I could get to work and I would be just fine. (A little pep talk to myself)
At work, like every work place there was an AWFUL smell. So awful that I was gagging. (haven't had the pregnancy smells too bad except recently) Then I was talking about my Grandpa's sister that isn't doing so well and it really got me. I was getting the cold sweats and usually I get those right before I pass out. I knew that wouldn't be good for me nor the baby. So, I got up from my work station and went to the back room where I told them I was going to the basement and lie down for awhile. I think they could tell I wasn't feeling well and filled in where I was. Thank you! Anyway, after about 1/2 hour I asked my Grandpa to take me home. So, I went home and slept the rest of the day until 4:30. Got up and felt the best I have felt in a few days. THANK THE LORD! I talked to my mom about how I didn't understand how I could feel really ill again after a bad smell and talking about something I had been talking about all week. She reminded me that I was pregnant and sometimes that just happens. FUN! Anyway, I am now doing much better.
I was able to attend my little brothers basketball games and hang out with the best man ever, my husband, for the weekend. It's been a nice weekend. We have taken down our PERFECT Christmas tree and I have almost all the Christmas decorations down and put away. UGH How I love to put everything up but dread putting it all away.
We have been busy trying to think of baby names, TRYING to agree on furniture for the babies room. I'm kidding Jeremy has much better taste than me so we just have to take time to be together to see what we both like. :)
It's about the dreaded time where JR has to get back to Omaha! Please pray our home sells SOON so we can be together again.... all the time! At least I feel good because my uncle Craig and him drive together so I know they will get back safely and won't get as bored as he would driving back by himself. Thanks Craig!
If you come across a name that you think we would like please post on here..... we need ideas. We need both male and female names....we don't know what we are having. :)
Have a wonderful week!
Love,
Me

Got it

Okay, now I am up and in business with my blog... thanks Rhi.

We brought in 2008 by celebrating with my parents, aunts, great aunts, uncles, and great uncles at my Aunt Kelli's house (thanks for the yummy pies). It was fun and pretty low key. I am not much of a huge party animal being 6 1/2 months pregnant but we still had fun. We were home early and felt great this morning. It is hard to believe at this time next year we will have a little one to celebrate the new year.

This week has been ended by Jeremy flying back to Omaha with my Dad. Oh how much nicer that is then driving 2 hours and 15 minutes. It took them around an hour and that was just because of the wind. So, usually it will only take around 40 minutes. That beats driving any day. :) Thanks Dad for flying him back! It was so nice to have him home for more than just a weekend... however it just makes the departure that much harder but I will take that over him not being able to come home. I'm just now a little more spoiled... back to making my own breakfast again. :S

My next doctor visit is in a couple of weeks. I am lucky because I get to take that really great tasting orange crap to make sure I don't have diabetis. I pray that all goes well with that. Other than that I think all is going well. I am feeling a lot of movement and usually Olive(r) kicks or moves when I should get out of bed. It was also exciting because this week Jeremy was finally able to feel the movement. It was a cool experience for both of us. I will update you more after the appointment.

Please visit often... more often when the baby comes. Hopefully I can keep you up on how doctor visits and how life in general is going.

We want to wish you all a Happy New Year!

testing

Just trying to test some things out to make sure I really know how to do all of this jazz.
